About DFW Wall Removal
DFW Wall Removal is a family-owned company in Dallas–Fort Worth that does one thing: remove walls safely. We take out load bearing walls, open up floor plans, raise ceilings and replace porch columns, with a licensed engineer on every job and a 12-year written warranty on the work.
We are not a general remodeler or a franchise. We are a local, owner-led crew that specializes in structural openings. When you call or text, you talk to the people who will plan and do the work.
Why we only do walls
Removing a load bearing wall looks simple from the outside: the wall comes out and the room opens up. What makes it safe is everything you don’t see — the engineering behind the beam, the temporary shoring that holds the house while the wall is gone, the posts that carry the load down to the foundation and the permit that proves it was done right.
Most remodelers do this a few times a year. We do it every week. Focusing on one kind of work lets us get very good at it, keep the price honest and finish most walls in a single day.
Our story
Ernando Teixeira founded DFW Wall Removal in 2022. DFW Wall Removal grew out of years of hands-on structural and remodeling work across North Texas, and out of seeing too many walls taken out the wrong way.
Today we work across Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Richardson, Carrollton, Fort Worth and nearby cities, and most of our new customers come from neighbors, realtors and remodelers who have seen our work. Together, our team brings 30+ years of experience, and we’ve removed hundreds of walls.

How we work
Every job follows the same process, whether it’s one wall in a kitchen or a full open floor plan.
1. You reach a real person: Call or text (469) 436-5680. Send photos of the wall and the attic above it, and we’ll tell you what we see.
2. Free estimate: We visit the house or review your photos, check what the wall carries and give you a written price.
3. Engineering and permit: A licensed engineer designs the beam and supports; we file the permit with your city.
4. Work day: We protect your floors, shore the ceiling, remove the wall and set the beam, usually in one day.
5. Finish, inspection and warranty: We patch the ceiling and floor, the city inspects the work, and you get our 12-year written warranty.
What sets us apart
Plenty of contractors will take out a wall. These are the things our customers tell us made the difference.
A licensed engineer on every job: Every beam we install is designed and signed by a licensed engineer for your house. We never guess beam sizes on site.
Permits handled: We pull the city permit and schedule the inspection, so the work is documented when you sell.
Insured for structural work: Our $1M policy covers load bearing work specifically, not just general remodeling.
12-year written warranty: Written, transferable to the next owner, and backed by a company that plans to be here.
Most walls done in one day: Planning before the work day means less time with your house torn up.
Estimates by photo: Text us photos and we’ll often tell you what’s possible before anyone visits.

Meet our engineer
Our engineer reviews every wall before we quote it and designs the beam, the posts and the connections for your specific house. The signed plan is what the city reviews and what our warranty stands on.
Our architect partner
On projects that change how a home is laid out, we carefully place the opening, the beam and the posts so the new space works the way you’ll actually live in it.
Proudly serving Dallas–Fort Worth
We work across the Metroplex: Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Richardson, Carrollton, Allen, McKinney, Fort Worth, Arlington, Southlake and nearby cities. Each city has its own permit office and its own rules, and we file with all of them.
Working locally also means we know North Texas houses: slab foundations on expansive clay, older pier-and-beam neighborhoods, truss roofs in newer subdivisions and the closed floor plans of homes built in the 1980s and 1990s.
Our mission
To open up homes and businesses across Dallas–Fort Worth safely, with engineered work, honest prices and a job site we’d be comfortable leaving in our own home.
Our vision
To be the company DFW homeowners, realtors and remodelers call first when a wall needs to come out, because they know it will be done right and documented.
Our values
These are the standards we hold on every job, big or small.
Safety first: No wall comes out without an engineer’s plan and proper shoring. No exceptions.
Honesty: We tell you what we find, including when a wall shouldn’t come out or when a cheaper option makes more sense.
Craftsmanship: Clean cuts, straight beams and patch work you can’t find a year later.
Respect: We protect your floors, contain the dust and treat your house like our own.
Structural safety comes first
A load bearing wall holds up part of your house. Taking it out the wrong way can crack drywall, bow the ceiling or, in the worst case, drop the floor above. That’s why every opening we build follows the same rules: an engineer’s design, temporary shoring before anything is cut, posts that carry the load all the way to the foundation and a city inspection before we close the ceiling.
Those steps take planning, not extra days. They’re the reason most of our walls still come out in a single day of work.
Why homeowners choose DFW Wall Removal
What our customers tell us they value most is knowing exactly what will happen: who designs the beam, what it costs, how long it takes and what happens if something isn’t right. We put all of it in writing before we start.
And when the work is done, you have the engineer’s plan, a closed permit and a transferable warranty — the paperwork buyers and inspectors ask for when you sell.
Who we work with
Most of our customers are homeowners opening up a kitchen or living room. We also work with remodelers and kitchen designers who need the structure done before their crews start, realtors and investors preparing a house for sale, and property managers reconfiguring commercial space.
Whoever calls, the process is the same: an honest look at the wall, a written price, an engineer’s plan and a permit.
What happens on the work day
We arrive at the time we agreed, walk the job with you and protect the floors and furniture along the path we’ll use. The work area is closed off with plastic to keep dust contained.
Next comes temporary shoring on both sides of the wall, so the ceiling is supported before anything is cut. Then the wall comes out, the beam goes in on its posts and the shoring is removed once the new structure is carrying the load. Before we leave, we clean up and walk the opening with you.
A clean job site
Taking out a wall is messy work, but your house shouldn’t look like a construction site when we leave. We contain dust, haul away the debris every day and leave the area broom-clean. If something gets scuffed or damaged, we fix it.
Our promise on price
You get a written price before any work starts, and it includes what it should: engineering, the permit, the beam, shoring, rerouting of anything inside the wall and the ceiling and floor patch. If we find something unexpected once the wall is open, we stop and talk to you before doing anything that changes the price.
Working with realtors and home buyers
If you’re buying a house and want a wall gone before you move in, we can look at it before closing and give you a price and a timeline. If you’re selling, we provide the engineer’s plan, the closed permit and the transferable warranty, so the buyer’s inspector has answers instead of questions.
Questions we hear most
Is this wall load bearing? How much will it cost? Do I need a permit? How long will it take? We answer each of these in detail on our service pages, and we’re happy to answer them for your specific house by phone or text.
Giving back to our neighbors
Our customers are our neighbors, and most of our work comes from their referrals. We answer questions for free, even when the answer is that a wall shouldn’t come out, and we’re glad to look at photos for anyone in Dallas–Fort Worth who’s wondering what’s possible in their house.
Licensed, insured and documented
Every project is backed by our $1M insurance for structural work, an engineer’s signed plan and a city permit. Ask us for proof of insurance and we’ll send it before we start.
Talk to us before you plan the rest
If you’re planning a remodel, call us early. Knowing which walls can come out, what the beam will look like and what it costs makes it much easier to plan the kitchen, the flooring and the budget around it.
